OSAGE, IOWA - Mary Pelleymounter, 98,of Osage, died Tuesday (July 18, 1989) at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage, of natural causes.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Osage, with the Rev. Leon Connolly and the Rev. Joseph Slepicka officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Osage.

Visitation is after 2 PM today at Champion funeral Home, Osage, where there will be rosary at 3 PM today and a Scripture wake service at 7:30 PM tonight.

She was born August 15, 1890, in Mitchell County, a daughter of Henry and Catherine (Hovel) Popp. She was educated at Rock Township Country School #1.

She married Robin Pelleymounter on January 12, 1915, in Osage. They lived in Manly until 1923 when they moved to Osage.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Guild, Volunteer Group, Osage American Legion Auxiliary and Mitchell County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Austie) Smith, Osage, and Mrs. Kathryn Elliott, Osage; five sons, Dick, Roman, Kenneth and Robert, all of Osage; and Bernard, Ackley; 27 grandchildren, 39 Great-Grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth Popp, Osage, and one brother, John Popp, Osage.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and three sisters.
