San Jose (CA) Mercury News Obituary:
Peacefully passed away on November 8, 2000 surrounded by his three daughters. For those who really knew him, understood him and his generous and loving heart.

Born in Helena, MT on September 7, 1934 and raised in San Francisco, CA. Served in the US Air Force January 28, 1955 - January 2, 1963. A dedicated Santa Clara Police Officer from 1959 until his retirement December 31st, 1989. Father of Kimberly Hayes Jones, Kelly Katherine Hayes Chase, and Kristine Hayes Gagliardi. Father-in-law to Tom Jones, Rusty Chase and Mike Gagliardi. Grandfather to Taylor Michelle Barnes and Kari Danielle Chase. Also survived by sisters, Jeri Hayes Taylor and Joan Higby, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are welcome to gather at the home of Bernice Sylvia, 779 Armani Dr., Santa Clara, at 6:30 pm, November 15th. The family respectfully requests no flowers be sent. Any donations can be made the American Cancer Society or Hospice.
