Mrs. Maria Hall, mother of our townsman, Hugh Hall, died last Wednesday morning at her home in Hampden, as the result of a stroke of paralysis. Mrs. Hall was 83 years of age and was one of the earliest inhabitant of this section. Her husband, Daniel Hall, and six children surviv her, namely: Ralph and John of Minnesota; Winfield and Addison of Hampden; Galen of Rio; and Hugh of this city. The funeral services were held from her late home on Friday, a large number of friends being in attendance.

For some reason the above obituary failed to mention her eldest daughter , Mrs. Elijah Mead of Iowa.
