Baldwin, Mrs. Ethel Theresa (Snyder)- Age 80, went home to be with our risen Lord on June 18, 2007. Ethel passed away peacefully at home with loving family members at her bedside. Funeral service will be held 10AM Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Court Street United Methodist Church, 225 W. Court St., Flint. Family will receive visitors from 9AM until time of service Saturday. Rev. Margie R. Crawford officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-8PM Thursday, June 21, 2007 and Friday, June 22, 2007 at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St., Flint. She was born July 21, 1926 in Pittsburgh, PA and lived all of her adult life in Flint, MI. She loved God and her church. She was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church for more than 50 years and a member of the Fellowship Class. She had worked in the church food panty, was a former member of the United Methodist Women and taught Sunday school for 10 years. She was formerly employed by Hurley Hospital, owned and operated the "Little Store" at Grand Traverse and Wood Street and was a school crossing guard at Doyle-Ryder Elementary School in Flint for 20 years. Ethel was a Cub Scout den mother and a former member of VFW Post 822 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting gifts for friends and family. She loved camping and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a "green thumb" and spent many hours tending her flower garden. She enjoyed bowling for many years and treasured her trips back to Pittsburgh. Left to treasure her memory are Paul, her beloved husband of 61 years; children, Connie (Tim) Pangle o f Montrose, Peter (Kleta) Baldwin of New Lothrop, Daniel (Jamie) of Swartz Creek, Catherine (Derrick) Layne of Florida; sister, Eva Snyder; brother, Peter Snyder; grandchildren, Tina, Peter, Adam, Todd, Staci, Jennifer, Paul Matt, David, Tim, Ben, Tara, Kelly, Patrick; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews; brothers-in-law. Ethel was preceded by her parents, Peter and Ethel Snyder; and brothers Charles and Martin Snyder. The family would like to express special thanks to Margie Crawford, Tiffany and the health care staff of Avalon Hospice for the exceptional care and concern they provided. Donations may be made to Avalon Hospice, Court Street United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
