H., Pennsylvania Vol. Infantry, in August 1863 and served three years with his regiment, at Bristow Station he was taken prisoner along with his Company but was paroled and came home where he remained until exchanged when he returned to the field and served the balance of his term. At the Seven Days Battle, he was wounded in the arm and in August 1864 he was honorably discharged. On his return from the army he bought a farm near DuBois and there with his wife, who was Margaret Bonnor, whom he married in 1867, he settled and to them were born nine children as follows; William, Meade, Charles, James, Isabella, George, Andy and two others having died in infancy. His wife died in April 1880, and Andrew chose as his wife Sarah Giher in 1882. Three children, two boys and one girl were born of this marriage; Andrew Latham, Richard McClure, and Annie.
