August Meyer Passes Away
August A. Meyer, aged 67, well-known town of Eaton resident,Manitowoc county, passed away suddenly at his home in Steinthal Monday evening at seven o'clock. He had been in ill health for the past several years, but had remained active.
Mr. Meyer was a carpenter contractor and followed that businessfor 48 years. He was interested in township politics and served as town clerk, town chairman and supervisor of the town of Eaton at various times.
Born Nov. 26, 1881, in the town of Meeme, the son of Mr. and Mrs.Christian Meyer, he was married to Alma Roesch on May 9, 1908, 41 years ago to the date of his death. He was a resident of Steinthal all his life.
Survivors are his wife; a son, two brothers, Walter and Fred of Sheboygan; a sister, Mrs. John Lukesh of Englewood, Calif.
