ULLIVAN — Lloyd Allspach, 91, of Sullivan died 4:00 a.m. Monday (October 24, 2005) in his residence.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan with the Dr. David Leslie officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Macon Cemetery, Macon. Memorials are suggested to the Sullivan First Christian Church, the Moultrie County Chapter of the American Cancer Society or the Sullivan Fire and Ambulance Service.
Lloyd was born September 30, 1914, in rural Macon the son of Irwin Jacob and Willa May Lanham Allspach. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Sullivan First Christian Church, the South Macon # 467 Masonic Lodge, had served on the Macon School Board and as treasurer of the South Macon Fire Protection District. He married Cerese E. Glose on March 31, 1941, in Columbia, Missouri, and she preceded him in death on April 25, 1989.
Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Don (Pamela) Jesse of Sullivan; grandchildren, Aaron Jesse and his wife Kari of Sullivan, Kristen Corl and her husband Rob of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Philip Jesse of Chicago; great grandchildren, Kailan Corl and Brant Jesse, and his dog, Cornflake.
He was preceded in death by his wife, son, brother and a sister.
