Barbara A. Anderson, 70, of Middletown, passed suddenly from this life on Monday, January 4, 2010 in Harrisburg Hospital.
Born in Steelton, the daughter of George L. and Hope C. (Morrett) Martin, she lived in Paxtang Boro for 27 years before moving to Middletown 10 years ago. Barbara was a member of the Middletown Senior Center and Friendship Center in Harrisburg. She also was a supporter of many charitable organizations.
Barbara was a homemaker and mother that enjoyed knitting, crocheting, hosting holiday parties and loved to be with her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Philip C. Anderson and a brother, Robert Martin. Survivors include her children, Mark Anderson, and his wife, Erin, of Harrisburg and Dawn Hissner, and her husband, David, of Lebanon; brothers, William Martin of Steelton and Richard Martin of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Megan, Christopher, Jeremy and Trevor Anderson.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated in Hall & Stone Funeral Home, 112 N. Harrisburg Street, Steelton, on Saturday, January 9, at 12noon, with Rev. Michael Brossman officiating. Viewing will be from 11am to 12 Noon.
