David was the son of Elizabeth ( Dick ) and Isaac Black.

He married Deborah Pennington on Sept. 18, 1848.

Deborah Pennington was born on Aug. 20, 1828 in Virginia
She passed away on March 22, 1900 in Mount Tabor, Multnomah, Oregon.

Together this couple had a total of 7 children. Unfortunately, 4 of these children died within 7 months of each other. How Horrible for the Both of them !
