Obituary - Huntington Herald-Press, Thursday, May 27, 1948

Jacob L. Voght, 79, died suddenly of a heart attack at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday at the dinner table at his home, 1106 Superior Street.
Surviving are six sons, Earl and Edward Voght, both of Fort Wayne; Louis, Ray and Lee Voght, all of Huntington; and Wilbur Voght of Andrews; five daughters, Mrs. Emma Gross, Cleveland; Mrs. Orren Alexander, Indianapolis; Mrs. Max Long and Mrs. Charles Flaugh, both of Andrews, and Mrs. Kenneth Arnett of South Whitley; three brothers, Harvey Voght of Fort Wayne, Al Voght of Indianapolis, Lee of Canton, Ohio and 35 grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Metz funeral home in Andrews where friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday and where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. George Manley officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Paul's church cemetery on the Wabash-Huntington county line.
