Davis E. Bounds
CHATOM -- Davis Eugene Bounds, who was a retired vice president of the First Community Bank in Chatom, died Saturday at his home. He was 80. A native of Meridian, Miss., and a resident of Chatom, Bounds was a member of Chatom First Baptist Church and was the founder of the Kiwanis Club in Chatom. Survivors include his wife, Lilybel Bounds of Chatom; a daughter, Cynthia Bounds Arnold of Mandeville, La.; and two granddaughters. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 tonight at Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom. The service is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chatom First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Chatom Cemetery.
