Mrs. Clara K Burdick, daughter of the late H. P. Johnson and Marguerite Hansen
of Beresford, South Dakota, died at the Crump Sanitarium in DeRuyter, on Monday,
June 3, 1957. Mrs. Burdock was born in Beresford, South Dakota, August 31,
1877. In 1898 she moved to DeRuyter where she met and married Jesse P. Burdock
in 1901. To this union were born two daughters, Neva L. who died in 1923, and
Vera A. Taber, with whom she mad her home until the last month of her illness.
Mr. Burdock passed away in 1917.
Mrs. Burdick did nursing here in DeRuyter most of her life and her quiet manner
and gentle spirit will be missed by all.
