Margaret Mary Moorman, 95 formerly of Ivanhoe, California passed away peacefully in Dallas, Oregon and joined the Lord and her husband on December 22, 2009.

Margaret (Heinzman) Moorman was born in Hudson, Iowa on November 9, 1914 to Louis and Magdalena Heinzman. Her 3 brothers Louis, Andy and John preceded her in death. She is survived by three sisters Elizabeth Hansen, of Grinnell, Iowa; Mary Wood of Waterloo, Iowa and Frances Sorensen of Racine, Wisconsin, a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and John Elliott of Ladera Ranch, California and four sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Barbara of Anaheim Hills, California; John and Karol of Fair Oaks, California; Jimmy and Valenta of Dallas, Oregon, and Kenny and Nancy of Visalia, California, 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Her family moved from Hudson to Waterloo, Iowa in 1920. Margaret attended Sacred Heart High School in Waterloo. She married Herbert Dorr Moorman in November of 1940 and spent almost 50 joyful and happy years with him until his death in May of 1989. After WWII, Herb and Margaret moved to Ivanhoe, California in 1946 and resided there until she moved to Visalia, California in 1996. She moved to Dallas, Oregon in 2002. Margaret was very family oriented, devoting herself to her husband and children. She was an excellent homemaker and was known for her Sunday dinners. She was a devout Catholic who never missed Sunday Mass. Margaret was employed for many years at the Ivanhoe Drug Store. Her presence among us will be greatly missed and we are comforted by the knowledge that she is now rejoicing in the presence of the Lord.

Viewing on Monday, January 4, 2010 from 2 - 6:30 PM with Rosary at 6:30 PM at Miller Memorial Chapel. Mass to be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on January 5, 2010 at 10:30 AM followed by interment at Visalia District Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.
