Katherine Edna Larkins
Katherine Edna Larkins, daughter of David A. and Katherine C. Johnson Walters, was born October 17, 1910 at Bruning, Neb., and died January 23, 1996 at the Parkview Haven Nursing Home in Deshler at the age of 85 years, three months and 6 days.
She received her education in the Public Schools and graduated from Hebron High School.
She was united in marriage to Lloyd Erving Larkins in 1930 and to this union two children were born, Robert and Elinor.
She was a long time resident of the Chester community.
She was a member of the Church of Christ of Chester and active in the women's groups of the church. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Hebron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd, five brothers, and two sisters.
She is survived by one son, Robert Larkins of Broomfield, Colo., one daughter, Elinor Evenson of Brookings, SD, one sister, Rose Ella Hawkins, Molalla, Ore., seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-grandchild.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 196 at the Community Bible Church of Chester with Pastor Ray Berry officiating. Burial was in the Chester Cemetery, Chester.
