Born Donnavieve Tindall May 7, 1923 in Muskegon, daughter of the late Joseph Tindall and Matilda (Hams) Tindall, she married John Martin June 8, 1944 and was a devoted homemaker raising her family. She had been a resident of Hulbert since 1954 until moving to Newberry in 1971. In December of 1973, Donnavieve was involved in a pedestrian accident resulting in dependent health care for the remainder of her life. Despite her disability, she maintain a strong love and devotion of faith with the Lord which not only inspired herself daily, but also touched others. Donnavieve was a former member of both the Hulbert Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church in Newberry.
Besides her parents, Donnavieve Martin was preceded in death by her son Paul in 1958, husband John in 1978 and five siblings.
Survivors included her children Joseph of Cambria, CA, William (Carla) of Paris, Jack of Redding, CA, Diana Pingatore of Sault Ste. Marie, Carol (Joseph) Kress of Elkmont, AL, Armina (Fred) Marshall in Farmington Hills and Ruby (Eugene) Campeau of Brimley; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
