Thomas H. Moczygemba, a resident of Floresville, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2003, at the age of 86 years, 8 months, and 26 days.
He was born in Cestohowa, Texas, on Sept. 18, 1916, to Genevieve Kotara and Peter Moczygemba.
On Sept. 12, 1943, in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Poth, Texas, he married Doris Billimek. Mr. Moczygemba retired from Westinghouse Electric Supply Co. in 1978. A resident of San Antonio, Texas, for 40 years, he moved back to the farm in Poth in 1986. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Grand Lodge of the Order of the Sons of Hermann, the Catholic Life SPJST Lodge 133, and the KJT Lodge.
Preceded in death by: parents; son, Ronald Moczygemba; sisters Clara Kotzur, Victoria Wiatrek, Barbara Wiatrek, Susie Rakowitz , Cecilia Moczygemba, and Leanora Moczygemba; brothers Peter Moczygemba and Alex Moczygemba.
Survivors include: wife, Doris Billimek Moczygemba; daughter, Patricia Felkins (Jerry); granddaughters, Stephanie Mattes and financé, and Becky Harris (Barney); grandsons, J. Ronnie Mattes and Josh Felkins; great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Nadine, and Denise Kehrer; sisters, Bridgit Foegelle and Mary Moczygemba; numerous nieces and nephews.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 16, in the Vinyard Funeral Home in Poth.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with Father Mike Mushalla of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Falls City, Texas, officiating.
Interment followed in the Blessed Sacrament Cemetery in Poth.
Pallbearers were Skip Broyles, Walter Cutsinger, Darrell Labus, Kenneth Wiatrek, Eddie Wiatrek, and Fred Rakowitz Jr.
