William Samuel Wilson died in th Oxford Hotel in Denver, Colorado on the way to Medford, Oregon.
William was sick when he and his family left Hall County Texas to go to Medford, Oregon, he got worse and got off the train in Denver. William died there in the Oxford Hotel. William told his family he wanted them to go on to Oregon.
Since William wanted to be buried in Texas beside his daughter Dillie Alila Wilson that died just a few weeks earlier his remains were sent back by train to Texas, where he is buried today.
Faye (Wilson) Colbert told me (Betty Wilson) that her papa Joseph Hulvatus Wilson (William Samuel Wilson's son) told her that it was the saddest day of his life when his father's remains was on a train going back to Texas and his mother and him along with the rest of his family were on another train going on to Oregon.
Joseph Hulvatus had just lost his sister and buddy (Dillie Wilson)just a few weeks before they left Texas.

I Betty Wilson heard this story from my Aunt Dora Faye (Wilson) Colbert the daughter of Joseph Hulvatus Wilson and granddaughter of William Samuel Wilson.
