"Mrs. Edith E. Gnagy, 68, died of a cerebral hemorrhage Thursday evening in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Myron Oliver, East Main street. She had been ill for several years. Mrs. Gnagy was born March 29, 1896, in Deep River, Iowa, a daughter of Isaac and Annie Belle Hokwood Barnhizer and moved to Canfield seven years ago from Woodworth. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church and the Marine Corps League Auxiliary. Her husband, Clarence, to whom she was married Sept. 2, 1915, died January 15, 1960. Besides Mrs. Oliver of Canfield, Mrs. Gnagy leaves two other daughters, Mrs. Nelson Edwards of Cincinnati, and Mrs. Edith Vernon of Norwalk, Calif., two sons, Floyd of Canfield, and Rev. Robert of Milwaukee; a brother, Ben Barnhizer of Mechanicsville, Iowa, seventeen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services with the Rev. Charles F. Fulcomer in charge, were held Monday afternoon at the church, and interment made in the Canfield cemetery."
