"In 1788, by appointment of the Presbytery of Pennsylvania, Rev. Thomas Beveridge came and labored several months. In the next year Rev. David Goodwillie came from Scotland, was induced to visit Barnet, and received a call on the 5th of July, 1790, to become the minister of that congregation."
"In July, 1798, Rev. Thomas Beveridge came to assist Mr. Goodwillie at the sacrament, was taken sick and died and is buried in the churchyard at Barnet Center, where the congregation of Cambridge, N. Y., erected a monument to his memory."
