Son of the late Gerhard and Maggie Walz Bemboom, he graduated from Foley High School and served in the United States Navy during WWII. He married Angeline Schreder on March 13, 1945, in Sauk Rapids, MN. He worked at Donlin Company for over 40 years starting in the shop and retiring as vice-president. He was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 930, Eastside VFW Post 4847, American Legion Post 428, and a life member of St. Augustine's Parish. He was survived by his wife; children, Bob (Sharon), Bill (Mary), Bruce (Luz) and Kath (Ron Haugen; fiver grandchildren; three great-grandchildreen; sister, Sal Zimmer; brothers, Ray and Tom. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters, Roselyn Evans, Lawrence, Marian Zimmer, Margie Rajkowski, and Joe.
