Lindsey Isabella Mason, 16, resident of 202 Driftwood Drive, died January 8, 2010.

Born in Greenwood, February 5, 1993, she was a daughter of Robert Darrel "Shorty" Mason and Hope Smith Mason. She was a Junior at Ninety Six High School where she served on the Student Council, a Football and Basketball Cheerleader and former member of the Cross Country Team. Lindsey was also a cosmetology student at the Frank Russell Career Center in Greenwood and employed with Mig's of Greenwood.

Lindsey was a member of Harris Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her parents of the home are a sister, Lauren Grace Mason of the home; grandparents, Gertrude Mason and Charles and Carol Smith, all of Greenwood; uncles, aunts and cousins, Travis Dale Smith of Ninety Six, Kristen Hannah Smith of Greenwood, Blake Austin Smith of Ninety Six, Dennis and Kim Mason, Gene and Melissa Mason of Louisiana and Joyce McCartha of Chappells; and a special Aunt, Phyllis Smith.

She was predeceased by her grandfather, Dewey Mason and an uncle, Dewey Clyde Mason.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 Tuesday afternoon at Harris Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Thomas officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Connor Redd, Harley Miller, Daniel Landers, Gatlin Roche, Ryan Gunter, Kristopher Parker and Kevon Parker.

Honorary escort will be the Cosmetology Students at the Frank Russell Career Center.

The body is at Blyth Funeral Home and will be placed in the church at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon.

The family is at the home in Driftwood and will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday.
