GREENVILLE, SC - Paul Franklin Cantrell, 72, of Greenville, died June 2, 2009.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Mitchell Owens and Essie Taylor Cantrell.
Mr. Cantrell served in the U.S. Navy and was of the Church of God faith.
He is survived by his daughters, Teresa (David) Waddell, Dana (Barry) Porter, and Melissa Waters, all of Greenville; sister, Syble (Elbert) Thrailkille; brother, James (Ruth) Cantrell; grandchildren, Frank Hughes II, Timothy P. Curry, Selina (Anthony) Hames, Sarah Waters, James and Jimmy Waters, all of Greenville, Brittany Cole and Whitney Gilbert of Easley; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Paula Paulette Cole; and his son, Jimmy Franklin Cantrell.
The funeral service will be Saturday, June 6, 2009, at 3 p.m. in the chapel at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 1 to 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow the service at Graceland Cemetery, West.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
The family will be at the residence.
