BAXTER, Dave In spite of his illness, Dave Baxter kept his sense of humor. So integral to his personality, and his outlook on life, that even near his death, when asked "Dave, what can we get you?" he responded with a hint of a grin and "the winning lottery ticket." David Baxter passed away Saturday, January 9, 2010 in his parents Lexington home. He was 46. Born in Mansfield on August 1, 1963, to Darrel and Judy (Gerhart) Baxter, Dave was graduated from Lexington High School in 1982 and attended The Ohio State University. For nearly 20 years he worked with Terra Data (NCR) in Dayton selling and establishing computer networks and government sales. Recently, he accepted a similar position with IBM. An avid golfer, Dave was a member of Centerville United Methodist Church, who always enjoyed returning to Lexington for races at MidOhio Sports Car Course. He is survived by daughters Lauren, Anna and Amanda; a son Garrett David; his parents Darrel & Judy Baxter of Lexington; his brother and sister-in-law Jeff & Heather Baxter of Galena; grandmother Faye Baxter of Clearwater, FL; and nieces and nephews. A family memorial service will be held Saturday, January 16, 2010. The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, Mansfield (419-884-1711) is honored to serve his family.
