Born January 24, 1914 in Footdale, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph Baden, Sr. and Frances (Pokorny) Baden. He was a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church in Beaver Falls and retired from Westinghouse, where he was a welder. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Blackhawk Men's Golf League; Rochester B.P.O. Elks No. 283; Monaca Turners, and Monaca-Center Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian "Sis" Baden, on June 28, 2008; two brothers, Edward and Jack Baden; four sisters, Ruth Andrews, Etta Madish, Francis Long and Martha Murphy, and his mother-in-law, Marie Reich Keppen.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Craig Adams, Cypress, TX; three grandchildren, Tricia Adams, Ryan Adams and his wife Rebecca, all of Houston, TX, and Tracie Welch and her husband Ryan, Phoenix, AZ; two great-grandchildren, Morgan Adams and Presley Pappas; a brother, Roy Baden, Monaca, and a sister, Lillian Duff, AZ.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the HILL & KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hilland kunselman.com, 3801 Fourth Ave., College Hill, Beaver Falls, where a service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. James Trusel officiating.
Members of the Rochester B.P.O. Elks No. 283 will conduct a service at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Private entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum, Daugherty Township.
