Robert Dean Binford, was born April 23rd, 1931, on the family farm in Clark County, Iowa. He passed to his home in heaven on January 11th, 2010. Bob was the son of Raymond P. Binford and Viola Mae (Ryan) Binford. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and one infant sister, Viola Mae.

Bob leaves behind his loving wife, Sarah Mae (Quasebarth) Binford; two sons, Robert Dean Binford II of Crown Point, IN, and Larry E. (Carol) Spurr Cedar Lake, IN; a daughter, Theresa J. Spurr (Murillo) (Ruben); six grandchildren, Sabrina Murillo (Neal) (Steve), Sarah Murillo (Fonseca) (Eric), Jennifer, Rubin Donald and Christopher Murillo, and Matthew Spurr; one great-granddaughter, Gianna Fonseca; one brother, Delbert C. Binford (Guyla) of Des Moines, Iowa; three sisters, Mary Lou Acheson (Everett) of Allerton, Iowa, Shirley Ansley (Emerson) of Orange, California and Donna Sponsler (Bill) of Whittier, California; and his dear friend, Robert W. Spurr of Atascadero, California.

Bob served eleven years in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He loved wood working, carpentry and gardening. He loved to listen to country music; he would sit and listen to his collection of records, tapes, and CD's for hours. Bob was a former member of the Cedar Lake American Legion Post 261, the Lowell VFW, and the Cedar Lake Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was a retired supervisor from White Consolidated in East Chicago, IN.

Bob will be waked at Burdan Funeral Home; 12901 Wicker Avenue, Cedar Lake, Indiana on Friday, January 15th from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Burial service will be on Saturday, January 16th, Trinity Lutheran Church, 631 W. Commercial Avenue, Lowell, IN.
