Born in Green Bay, Wis., Oct. 26, 1884, Mr. Ahlstrom had lived in this area since 1908.
He was employed by the B & O Railroad and retired at the age of 65 from the Fairport, Painesville and Eastern Railroad as a round house foreman. In 1959 he retired as stationary engineer at Riverside High School.
Mr. Ahlstrom married the former Hilda Binnig in Painesville on July 10, 1913. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Painesville, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks No. 549 and the Independant Order of Odd Fellows.
Three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
