Son of George Clarence Huntley and Mildred Leota Mannen Huntley. One month after younger sister Violet was born, George Clarence died 20 September 1912. His mother later married Fritz Renke on 7 March 1914 in Vancouver, Clarke, Washington, United States. Fritz helped raise Mildred's two young children, and then they had a son and a daughter together.

Deceased Name: Lewis P. Huntley

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 23, 1999, in Rose City Funeral Home for Lewis "Lew" P. Huntley, who died July 20 at age 89.

Mr. Huntley was born April 27, 1910, in Kamiah, Idaho, and was raised in Portland. He was a self-employed carpenter and home builder before he retired in 1975. He was a past vice president of Columbia Gorge Rockhounds. In 1936, he married Viola Baker.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Sherry Hanson of John Day, Vivian McQueeney of Oregon City and Glenda Hartney of Portland; brother, LeRoy Rathke of Portland; sister, Maria Radke of Sherwood; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Private interment will be in Rose City Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to Providence Hospice.
