She was born July 11, 1953, in Springfield, the daughter of Vincent and Dorothy Hanson Oberreiter. She married James C. Green on July 25, 1980; he preceded her in death on March 9, 2000.
She also was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Orville and Walter Oberreiter.
She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Oberreiter of Springfield; five sisters, Shirley (Jeep) Pearse of Hilton Head Island, S.C., Josephine Durham of Englewood, Colo., Patsy (Jim) Tisdale of Jackson, Tenn., Janet (Bruce) Hayward of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Sharon Norman of Springfield; two brothers, Bruce (Dotti) Oberreiter of Springfield and Charles (Jean) Oberreiter of New Berlin; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Anne was a lifelong resident of Springfield.
She retired from the Illinois State Board of Education as an administrative professional.
She was a member of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. She loved NASCAR, Vegas vacations, shopping and spending time with her family.
A memorial gathering will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at Staab Funeral Home. The family invites friends to join them for a celebration of Anne's life at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at the Navy Club, 3100 Stanton St., in Springfield.
Memorials may be made to Cathedral Grade School.
