Martha 'Mattie' Heath was the daughter of Elisha Blackburn Heath b. 29 Aug 1839 and his wife Mary Elizabeth Fanning b. 16 Nov 1839 who had married 28 Sept 1860 and who lived in Harrison Co. MO. Martha married 10 Aug 1886 David Sherman Harmon b. 14 Sept 1867 IN, the son of Richard Milton Harmon and his 2nd wife Emily Jane Gaar who had married 18 May 1851 in Carroll Co. IL. After the death of Martha (Heath) Harmon, her widowed husband David Sherman Harmon married her sister Emily Virginia Heath Hedges on 22 July 1920, but the marriage ended in divorce. It is believed that between the death of Mattie and his marriage to her sister Emily, he married a Bertha L. Unknown (1910 census Ottawa, KS).
