Lancaster, SC - Aug 22 - Mrs. Margaret Hough Hammond, 89, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mattie Maree of Union section of Lancaster County, early this morning. Mrs. Hammond is a daughter of the late Shepherd and Mary Jane Montgomery Hough, and is the widow of the late Raleigh W Hammond. She is survived by the following daughters, Mrs. Mattie Maree of Lancaster County, Mrs. Marty Collins of Charlotte, Mrs. Alice Montgomery and Mrs. Nannie Bigham of Rock Hill; 36 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dock Hough of Summerfield, Fla., Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock at Antioch Baptist Church. Rev. Mr. Blackburn, pastor of the church officiating, assisted by Rev. Fred H Poplin. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
