James Robert Nobles, son of the late John and Diemdima Nobles was born April 29, 1877 in Webster county and passed away at the family home here on November 22, ____.  In 1899 he was united in marriage to Marry Ollie Illiff and had 2 children one of whom died in infancy .  The other is Jess Nobels of Versailles.  Besides his wife and son he leaves two grandaughters: Mrs. Eileen Marriott of Sedalia  and Mrs. Gene Long of Kansas City; 4 grandchildren.  His father, mother and a brother preceded him in death a number of years ago.  A sister, Mrs. Nan Scott, died four months ago.  For 25 years he was employed as a watchman by Tweedie Footwear Corp.
   Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. J.L. Freeman officiating.  Burial was in the Versailles cemetery under the direction of the Kidwell Funeral Home.
