Richard S Windsor, who states birth as 22 Dec. 1839 in Webster Co, GA, has a CSA pension application on line in the GA Archives under Sumter County. He says he enlisted in Americus, GA in July 1861 and served with Company I of the 2nd GA Vols. He was discharged in Sept 1862 and sent in a substitute in his place. Then he rejoined in the Fall of 1863 and served with Lastingers' Cavalry in Florida. He served with that unit until the close of the war. See GA pension application # 187821-00880. His pension was approved for 1909.
