Doris Dean Vastag, 82, formerly of Eastwood, died Friday at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. She was born in Syracuse. She was a foster grandparent at the Syracuse Developmental Center. Survivors: A daughter, Mary Ann Sanford of Syracuse; a son, Richard E. of Syracuse; two sisters, Bertha Davies and Shirley Frazier, both of Syracuse; a brother, Earl Dean of Liverpool; four grandchildren; Michael, Richard and Susan Vastag, Ross Sanford; five great grandchildren.
