Queen Consort, Kingdom of Hawaii. She was born at Kaelehuluhulu in present-day Kailua-Kona. She married the reigning king, Kauikeaouli Kamehameha (Kamehameha III) on February 14, 1837; the ceremony was performed by Hiram Bingham Sr. The couple had two children, who both died young, predeceasing Kauikeaouli and Kalama. The couple became the hanai parents of his nephew and eventual successor, Alexander Liholiho, who ruled as Kamehameha IV. She led a relatively private life after the death of her husband at the end of 1854.
