Rites at Ayrshire for John W Virgil.

Pall Bearers: Frank Hogan, Milt Lang, Robert McDonald, Herman Ricklefs, Frank Kelly, Goodman Anderson. Rites at the Methodist Church at Ayrshire on Thursday afternoon with Rev. Rasmussan officiating.

Born: Rockford, ILL 10/31/1859. Was 82 years old.

Married Elizabeth M Kelly at Ft Dodge in 1884. Wife preceded him in death.
One son survives: James of Ruthven. Brother: Harvey Virgil lives at Mason City. Mr Virgil went to Ft Dodge from Rockford, IL when a small boy and came to Palo Alto County 50 years ago. He lived in the Ayrshire locality for 45 years and during the last five years made his home with his son, James, at Ruthven.

Note: John parents were George W and Harriet E (Bevens/Evans) Virgil. They are buried in Oakland Cemetery in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

There is no individual stone for John in the cemetery plot.
