HOLLEN, John D. "J.D." age 75 of Beavercreek, passed away Monday, October 2, 2006 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul D. Hollen; mother, Vanyla Kirby; step-father, O.B. Kirby; brother, Kent D. Hollen; and granddaughter, Katy Hollen. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn L. (Krug) Hollen; children, Rick Hollen and wife Pam of Chester Twp., Bob Hollen and wife Linda of Beavercreek, Teri Wacks and husband Bradley of Enon, and John Dale Hollen II and wife Genie of Oregon; grandchildren, Cliff and Amy Hollen, Dale Wacks and Aryn, Brittany Wacks, and Matt, Jeremy, Melissa and Daniel Hollen; great grandchildren, Cheyanne Nicole Wacks and David; brother, Paul Dudley Hollen and wife Lola of Isle of Palms, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Hollen was a USMC Veteran. He retired from American States Ins. and was the former owner of Brookville Dodge and John Hollen Motors. Prayers will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N. Fairfield Rd. Interment will be in Beaver Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Wellness Connection, formerly the American Heart and Cancer Society.
