Mrs. Jeanette Parry Grubb Coleman, 88, of Route 1, Pamplin, died Sunday, June 17, 1990. Mrs. Coleman was born in Galesburg, Illinois on July 11, 1901, a daughter of the late James Wilson and Josephine Parry Grubb. She was a member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church, Appomattox, Va., Blue Ridge Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of the Eastern Star Pamplin Chapter; A.A.R.P.. Home Makers Club; the Episcopal Church Women of St Anne's Church and was a was a graduate of Knox College. She is susrvived by her husband of sixty-two years, Horace W. Coleman, Jr.; four children, James H. Coleman, Los Angeles, Ca.; Mrs. Jo Anne Coleman Owen, of Virginia Beach, Va., Spencer A. Coleman and Edward H. Coleman, both of Norfolk; 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Horace W. Coleman, III. She was a gbood wife and mother and will be sorely missed by the family. A memorial service was conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 1990 at Elon Baptist Church, The Rev. Ted Bailey, interim priest of St. Anne's Episcopal Church will officiate. Interment followed in Piney Ridge United Methodsit Church Cemetery, Route 628, Pamplin.
