BAIRD - Glenn Marie (Mrs. W.O. Jr.) Wylie, 85, died Friday at an Angleton hospital.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Parker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Carstensen officiating. Burial will be in Ross Cemetery.
Mrs. Wylie was born in Baird and attended Hardin-Simmons University. She taught music for many years and was a church organist. She was one of the first female morticians in Texas, and she and her husband owned and operated funeral homes in Baird, Albany, Moran and Cisco. She was a member of Harmony Music Club, Fort Worth Chapter o the American Guild of Organists and the Order of the Eastern Star. She married W.O. Wylie Jr. in 1933.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
