William Glenn Cates, 68, 2818 Washington Ave., died Thursday at his home.
A laborer, he was born July 3, 1917, in Knox County to Homer and Faye (Hoffman) Cates.
He is survived by a son, Jimmie Cates, Lawrenceville, Ill.; two daughters, Robertine Cates of Killeen, Texas; and Emma Foote of Cadiz, Ohio; a half-brother, Sylvester Cates, Princeton; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Walnut Grove Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Funeral arrangements were by the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home.
