Corneilus May was born one mile east of Mahaska on May 26, 1880, and passed away at Iowa Falls, Ia., November 15, 1931, at the age of 51 years, 5 months and 19 days.

He was married September 15, 1904 to Hilba King. To this union were born 3 children: Howard and Marguerite who with their mother preceded him in death, and Ivan who now lives in Iowa Falls, Ia.

On February 22, 1922 he was married to Effie Tuspin, who mourns his loss. He had one grandchild, Betty Jane May. He has three brothers living, Zenas of Mahaska, Amos of Ness City, and Dexter of Kansas City; and two sisters living, Seluda Thomas of Glen Elder, Kan., and Ida Green of Monroe, Wash. Three sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at Mahaska, November 21, 1931. The Rev. W. C. Green officiated, Burial was made in the Mahaska Cemetery.

His second wife's maiden name was TURPIN - the obit has her name spelled wrong. Also, I sent an edit to correct the spelling of his name - listed as CORNELIUS on both his draft record and his death certificate. He went by Cornelius.
