Marjorie Maud (Wilson) Church was a very caring, loving, God fearing Christian lady, wife, mom and hard working special lady that always found good in every human being. She worked a few years as a nurses aide in the Nursing Home East of El Dorado, Kansas. Mother and Dad had a big garden many years and mother canned everything. Mom made the best bread and hot rolls.

Mom had heart problems, had a light stroke but recovered from it and arthritis. Mom had cancer for quite a while before she finally went to the doctor and found she had breast cancer in early 1966. She had Cobalt treatments, but the cancer had already started spreading and when the Lord took her home March 8, 1969, the cancer had taken over her body and bones from head to toes.

Services for Mrs. Marjorie Maud Church, 56, lifetime Butler County, Kans., resident who died Saturday, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Assembly of God Church, where she was a member. Burial will be at Towanda, Kans.

Servivors include her widower, Willard R.; two sons, George Andrew and Philip Leon, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Andrew Overland, Oklahoma City; a brother, James A. Wilson, Pittsburg, Kans; and four sisters, Mrs. Charles Rollings, Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Orville Bratten, Wichita, Mrs. Albert Hays, El Dorado, and Mrs. Robert Crockett, McPherson, Kan.

A memorial has been established with American Cancer Society. Kirby Funeral Home has charge.
