Anna E. Simmons, 90, of West Chester, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at Ware Presbyterian Village in Oxford.
She was the widow of Laymon M. Simmons, who died in 1971.
Born in Thornton, she was the daughter of the late Carlo and Concetta DiDominico Ferri.
She was a former employee of the Wentworth Home in West Chester. She was also a member of St. Agnes Church and the West Chester Senior Center, where she enjoyed playing bingo.
Anna is survived by her children, David L. Simmons of Coatesville, Joseph L. Simmons of Frazer and Wayne D. Simmons of West Chester; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Connie Lambert of New Castle, Del.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Joan Simmons.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at the Founds Funeral Home Inc., High and Union streets, West Chester, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
