Funeral services for Amos M. Arnold, 92, a resident of Hall County for the past 55 years, were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, in the Estelline First Baptist Church with Rev. Elvis Pitts, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in the Hulver Cemetery under the direction of Spicer Funeral Home.
Mr. Arnold died Sunday afternoon in Cousins Rest Home here. He was born Aug. 20, 1876, in Bells and was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was united in marriage to Miss Lola Ross in 1895 and moved to Hall County in 1911 where he farmed in the Estelline area. He moved to Memphis in 1947.
Survivors include: one son, Claud of Estelline; one daughter, Mrs. Louis Canada of Amarillo; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Spiva of Pollox Pines, Calif.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pall bearers were Arch Bumpas, Albert Ward, Roy Abram, O.R. Lambert, Barney Russell and J.C. Longbine.
