John Wesley Pierce, born in Missouri October 10,1858, died in Stafford at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Norwood McCune, Dec 8, at the age of 84 years. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Norwood McCune and Mrs. Joe Dale, of Stafford, and Mrs. Sylvia Roseberry of Wichita; two sons, Oliver of Oregon and Dallas in the army.

John W. Pierce, 84, passed away Tuesday night, December 8, at the home of a daughter; Mrs. Norwood McCune, of this city. Surviving are two sons, Oliver of Williams, Oregon and Dallas who is in the army, and three daughters, Mrs. McCune, Mrs. Joe Dale of Stafford and Mrs. Sylvia Roseberry of Wichita. The Funeral was held at the Peacock-Soice Memorial Chapel at 8:30 this Thursday, Morning, the body being taken to Ulysses for Interment.
