South Bend IN Tribune, Tuesday, May 4, 1937:
Word was received today by J. W. Loshbaugh, 115 North St. Louis boulevard, of the death of his sister, Mrs. Ida Gooley, aged 68, for the last 26 years of Los Angeles, Calif., a former resident here. She died Monday in French hospital in Los Angeles. She was born here Aug. 4, 1868, the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. James B. Loshbaugh and was married in 1888 to Michael S. Gooley in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic church, Notre Dame. An only son, Jerome, died in 1918 in San Diego, Calif., and Mr. Gooley died in Los Angeles in 1928. Mrs. Gooley leaves two grandsons, Jerome and Robert Gooley, of San Francisco; two sisters, Mrs. Arvilla O'Brien, of Niles, Mich., and Clara Loshbaugh, of this city, and her brother, J. W. Loshbaugh. Burial will take place Wednesday in Calvary cemetery in Los Angeles.
