He arrived with his wife Margaret in New London about 1651. According to one undocumented source, they were from Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, but this remains unconfirmed. There is no further mention of this origin that I can find. Other ancient resources place the origin of the family name in County Norfolk.

He died in 1703 by drowning while attempting to cross the river to New London in his dugout canoe.

He married, first, Margaret ____.

He married, second, about 1685, Elizabeth Miller. She was the daughter of George Miller.

He married, third, on Mar 16,1692/3, Christian (Bell) Chappell, widow of William Chappell. She died Feb 21,1718/9.

Children(by first marriage): Deborah Stallyon Avery, Sarah Stallyon Edgecombe, and Margaret Stallyon Foote Haynes.

Children(by second marriage): Edward Stallyon Jr and Elizabeth Stallyon Bailey.
