Mrs. Henrietta Burbage died on Thursday morning June 6th, 1918, after a lingering illness lasting over several months. She was the widow of Joseph Burbage and was a sister of the late George H. Johnson of Galivants Ferry township. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. N. C. Adams of Conway, Misses Virginia Burbage and Henrietta Burbage of Conway, Misses Bessies and Loula Burbage of Florence, Mrs. Leroy Cates of Kingstree, Herbert Burbage of Columbia, Joe Burbage of Conway, D. J. Burbage of Newport News VA; Keith Burbage of Florence. She is survived by her brothers W. A. Johnson of Savannah GA, F. Marion Johnson of Loris SC, Ed Johnson of Mississippi and two sisters Mrs. W. F. Floyd and Mrs. Willie Page of Nichols SC.
She was a member of the Conway Baptist Church and was a loyal worker in the cause of the Master until sometime ago when her health began to fail. The funeral services took place at the residence on 6th Avenue on Friday morning at 10 o'clock conducted by the Rev. E. L. McCoy of Conway Methodist Church, her pastor, Rev. D. L. Hill being away at the time. The interment took place at the Lakeside Cemetery.
