He was a heavy equipment operator and truck diver. He attended Crawfordsville schools and was a U.S. Army veteran and attended the First Assembly of God in Crawfordsville. He had a love of hunting for mushrooms.
He was born July 17, 1949 in Crawfordsville the son of Howard Earl and Hazel Delores (Hubble) Bell.
Survivors include: two daughters, Rhonda and Renee Atutis, of Illinois; a stepdaughter, Penny (Dan) Aldrich, of Crawfordsville; three sisters, Dixie Lutes, of Indianapolis, Kathy (Ron) McCollum, of Crawfordsville, and Becky Bell, of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Gordon Suiter, of Crawfordsville, and Donald Suiter, of Indianapolis; four step brothers, Ron (Linda) Lutes, of Indianapolis, Gary Lutes, of Vermont, Carl Lutes, of Indianapolis, and Richard (Martha) Bland, of Crawfordsville; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a stepsister, Karen Osborne.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville. Burial will take place at the Mace Community Cemetery with full military rites which will be given by the VFW and the American Legion posts of Crawfordsville.
