Mrs. Garver's maiden name was Adelia Roe. She was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. E. S. Roe and a sister of the late Dr. Chester K. Roe. She was the last of the Roe family.
Mrs. Garver was born March 12, 1844. Until she was stricken on May 17 she had been enjoying good health. She was a member of the First Methodist church of Argenta and the Oriental Rebekah lodge of Argenta and took an active interest in church and lodge work. She was held in high regard by a wide circle of friends.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel H. Garver, who is also eighty-four years old. She also leaves three daughters and one son, Mrs. Lou Ripple of Miami, Fla., Mrs. Mamie Hilbrant of Frostproff, Fla., Mrs. Lillian Hendricks of Decatur and Roe C. Garver of Danville. The body will be brought to Decatur Wednesday morning and the funeral will be held at the Dawson & Wikoff chapel and the burial in Greenwood cemetery.
