Ray E. (Daddy) Ball, 79, died Saturday at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. A lifelong Monroeville resident, he was a farmer, and retired in 1981 after 32 years at Monroeville Equity Exchange Elevator. Surviving are his wife, Mabel L., a daughter, Jean C. Patterson of Monroeville; a son, Howard Dale of Convoy, Ohio; three brothers, Lloyd C. of Woodburn, James A. of Fort Wayne and Eugene A. of Columbia City; two sisters, Beatrice G. Daniels of Monroeville and Rosetta B. Skinner of Manassas, Va., and four grandchildren. Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Monroeville United Methodist Church, Monroeville. Calling from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Marquart & Jacobs Funeral Home, Monroeville. Burial in Monroeville Cemetery, Monroeville. Memorials to the church or to Monroeville EMS.
